Riyadh History

The continued foundation contracts and the government plans in addition to the natural characteristics of Arriyadh gave the city a unique character that made it one of the prestigious capitals in the world.

 

With the help of Allah, almighty, Arriyadh occupies a unique political status and enjoys an advanced civilized standard that made the city a far better place for doing business and investment

 

This unique status of Arriyadh came as a result of years of continued efforts of developments and modernization in various fields.

 

Civilized Characteristics

 

The blessed government plans and its extensive development programs through years gave Arriyadh its special character that appears in its civilized outlook, its structural, economic and cultural character that put the city among the biggest international capitals.

The Strategic Status

 

The geographical location of the city and its political status gave Arriyadh a highly strategic place not usually available to many cities.

 

It is the capital of the land of the two holy mosques and that makes it very influential in international politics at Arab, Islamic and international levels.

 

With its location in the middle of the Arabian Peninsula Arriyadh is a station for roads that link between countries in the region.

 

In spite of its tough environment, Arriyadh region enjoys great natural resources such as minerals and oil in addition to agriculture as the region produces 50 percent of the Kingdom crops, diary and birds.

 

The International Status

 

The diplomatic missions and Gulf, Arab and international organizations as well as foreign communities form part of the social fabric of the city’s population.  There are about more than fifty communities, from all parts of the world living in Arriyadh.  But there is complete peaceful co-existence and good neighborhood among these communities.
