Royal Commission in Jubail Hosts Kingdom Cross-Country Championship
​In the presence of the  General Manager of Public Services Sector  in Royal Commission in Jubail  Mr. Abdul Aziz Abdullah Al Missnid, Royal Commission in Jubail hosted at Al- Deffi  Park in Jubail Industrial City on Saturday, 18-02-1437 H (28.11.2015) the Kingdom  Cross-Country Race Championship for regions champions clubs of three categories  (Junior -youth-men) with the participation of 450 runners,  under the supervision and organization of the Saudi Arabian  Athletics Federation in cooperation with the youth welfare office in Al-Qatif City  and the management of sports activities of  the Royal Commission for Jubail and Al Jubail sports Club .
 

In the Junior category for a distance of 5 km, 200  runners took part and for  the youth category for a distance 8 km,  150 runners took part  and for the men category for 12 km, 100 runners took part. The junior category  results were as follows : Jerash Club ranked first with a total of 29 scores  and Alhilli club got the second rank with a total of 37 scores  and Damak club got the third rank with total of 47 scores .

For the youth category Alshabab club secured the first place with a total of 41 scores, Damak Club got the second place  with a total of 50 scores and Alimmjad Club was the third with total of 66 scores.

 

While Damak club got the first rank with a total of 16 scores for the men category. Jubail Club got the second rank with a total of 46 scores and Al-Waten Club got the third rank with a total of 72 scores.

 

In conclusion, the three top winners of  every category were esteemed with medals and trophies.

It is worth mentioning that the Jubail Industrial City earlier hosted the GCC Championship for all the 24 categories for  the public  and 13 categories in Junior cross- country race due to  the availability of suitable infrastructure, equipment and services that contributed in making this Championship successful.
