The Royal Commission in Jubail Industrial City, received at the Visitors Center a delegation from Saudi customs lately . The objective of the visit is to benefit from RCJ distinguished experiences in the field of managing facilities and engineering projects. The delegation was received by a number of officials from the Technical Affairs Sector and the Operation and Maintenance Sector.
The Consultant for the the Engineering, Maintenance and Operation Affairs at the Saudi Customs General Supervisor on Mr. Maher Bin Abdullah AlGathmi Said; “ We are proud of this Industrial City which match many giant international cities which is demonstrated bythe various awards.. He added that the aim of this visit is to get the benefit from the Royal Commission pervious experiences as well as the development and progress it achieved as a showcase in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. AlGathmi, also, added; “ We, in Saudi Customs, are assigned to develop Land custom outlets which comprises a number of large kilometers which we are currently in the process of developing”.
After that, the members of the delegation toured the Visitors Center; where they watched the most significant factors and elements of success in Jubail Industrial City projects such as the location, geography, diversity of industries, distinguished infrastructure, and the distribution of residential neighbors, supported with statistics and fact that show the gains and giant accomplishments of Jubail Industrial City.
Furthermore, the delegation watched a documentary about the story of Jubail Industrial City and the Royal Commission in Jubail and the massive efforts to build the city.
Then, the officials of the Technical Affairs Sector and the Operation and Maintenance Sector convened with the visiting delegation where they discussed the technical specifications for facilities, the mechanism of pre-qualifying contractors, the facilities management system, performance standards for facilities management, control rooms in facilities management, the most notable technical training course, improving work environment, material approval, unconventional energy, value engineering, reports, warehouse system, facilities coding system, the organizational chart of Utilities Dept. and projects management for Utilities, safety and security standards in work, job description for technical staff in Utilities Dept., standard procedures for Utilities Dept., and accommodation managment.
