The Royal Commission in Jubail received, on Thursday, a delegation of more than 15 male and female leaders from the Young Leadership Development Program for Global Dialogue in “SALAM” Project for the cCultural Communication, in the presence of the GM Operation & Maintenance Sector, Eng. Sultan Al Khuraisi, to be informed about the economic achievements and development accomplishment in the projects of Jubail Industrial City as well as the quality of life in the city to reflect the positive and bright images of Saudi Arabia.
General Manager of Operation and Maintenance Sector presented a brief overview of the economic position occupied by JIC among the cities of the world and its contribution in the economic growth in the Kingdom and a source of income resources. Jubail Industrial City as a source of attraction for local and foreign investment, in addition to the distinctive infrastructure that has created the suitable investment climate for investors with the most important elements of success such as the importance of the location, the geographical area , and seawater cooling systems, which are considered as the largest in the world.
The visiting delegation was also acquainted with the economic center of Jubail Industrial City which is located on an area of 2.75 million square meters that consists of a public sea front on three sides and a commercial center for the factories and neighboring areas. Moreover, the delegation listened to a detailed explanation of Ras Al Khair Industrial City and the expansion plans for future projects.
For his part, the Director of Initiatives and Programs Unit at “SALAM” Project for the cultural communication, Mr. Mishary Bin Suleiman Al-Mormish, said that this project sought, since its inception, to highlight the efforts of the State to fulfill the achievements that must be seen by the international world in oder to reflect a positive and true image of the Saudi Arabia. He added that among the objectives of this project is to inform young generations of the experience of Jubail Industrial City as a story of Saudi success and a pride model in front of the whole world.
Khawla Al-Hoqbati, from “Salam” Program for Cultural Communication, said: "We are proud to witnessin the achievements in Jubail Industrial City that indicate the full significance of the Kingdom on the international level”.
On the other hand, Aisha Nass from “Salam” project for the cultural communication said that one of the most important elements that to achieve the mission of this project is to correct the conceptual image of the Kingdom which requires our full faith and pride in the potentials in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. she added that this visit has enhanced our excellence through the projects and the quality programs that we saw today, not only at the Kingdom level, but global wide.
Turki al-Sumairi, a graduate of “Salam” Project for cultural communication, said that this visit to Jubail Industrial City surpassed the expectations due to what we saw as national achievements and a model to be followed on the regional, global levels
Likewise, Fatima Abu-Sirer, the coordinator of KAICIID (the King Abdullah Center for Dialogue, Religions and Cultures of the Arab Region) stressed that Jubail Industrial City is an inspiring city different from other cities, where officials are concerned about the quality of life where JIC surpassed many industrial cities.
