Activities of Jubail Industrial City's Sports for All Festival Succeed


The activities of the "Sports for All Festival" organized by the Royal Commission's Social Services Department, under the motto " Your Health is in Your Fitness”  were concluded Last Saturday night. The activities continued for two days at the Beach Club in Dareen Sector, Jubail Industrial City.
 
Social Services Department's Director, Mr. Khaled A. Al-Shammari, said the festival aimed to promote exercise for all family members among all strata of society by introducing  suitable and beneficial sports. This is in addition to educating the public about healthy meals appropriate for all age categories presented by medical and nutrition centers together with the Health Services Program of the Royal Commission. The festival also included other activities suitable for all family members.
 
Mr. Al-Shammari pointed out that the festival focused on various sports such as walking through the two- day walking program, jogging, cycling and, fitness for adults.  The activities also include recreational sports for kids through the participation of specialized entities such as Fitness Time, Al Sadafa Women Center, and Jubail Cyclists (DARRAJ ALJUBAIL). Furthermore, there were playgrounds and courts for football and beach volleyball. Jubail Volunteering club members participated in the festival by helping visitors.
 
The General Manager of General Services Sector of the Royal Commission in Jubail, Mr. Abdulaziz Al-Musnad, visited the festival on the last day and toured the participating corners and was informed of the  awareness and cultural tips they provide for visitors.
 
This festival comes in line with the Royal Commission in Jubail's attention to community service by conducting events and activities that conform with the residents' identities and sports as well as  cultural interests that  cheer them up.
