The RCJ Health Services Program in collaboration with the Saudi Commission for Neuroscience organized during the period from 10 to 14 May 2018 at the Sea Club in Jubail Industrial City a workshop on neurosurgery with the participation of more than 60 surgeons from more than 20 countries, America, Britain, Australia, Europe, Jordan, Egypt, Algeria, Zambia and Kenya ,Cameroon, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, and many others registered at the Saudi Board of Neurosurgery in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Dr. Nabil Al Shafei, Head of the Neuroscience Workshop, said: "This workshop is considered the largest scientific workshop in the field of neurosurgery in the Middle East for the participation of many international medical experts and for an academic education intensive workshop of 12 hours every day for the duration of (5) days with total of (60) educational hour. He added that the workshop aims to review the developments in neurosurgery and provide a high level of training and education in neurosurgery for surgeons in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and outside the Kingdom, and use of the latest interactive methods in education.
Dr. Nabil added that the workshop shall focus on the problems of the spine, peripheral nerves, brain tumors and cranial, the use of endoscopes in neurosurgery, rheumatism, neurosurgery of children, brain injuries, pain surgery, involuntary movements, problems of veins and cerebral arteries, through Surgery and catheterization, as well as neurosurgery.
This shall involve many professors and neurosurgeons from the most famous hospitals and universities in the Kingdom, such as (King Abdulaziz University, King Saud, National Guard in Riyadh, King Fahad Medical City in Riyadh, specialist in Riyadh and Jeddah, King Fahd University Hospital in Khobar and King Abdullaziz University in Jeddah)
