The opening day events of Jubail Industrial College kicked off on Tuesday at a ceremony attended by the Managing Director of the College, Dr. Eid Bin Mohammed Al-Hajri, in the presence of the managers and training officials of the major corporations and companies in Jubail Industrial city as well as faculty and training staff.
The first workshop started with an inaugural speech by Dr. Al-Hajri, in which he welcomed the audience. The achievements and activities of the College were also reviewed during the previous period. After that, the speech of industry was said, which praised the training programs in the college as they touch the needs of the industry as well as the excellence of its outputs. Then, they opened the discussion and dialogue on addressing current and important issues facing the industry and how to help strengthen training programs, in addition of studying the other needs of the training programs and disciplines needed by the industry. The program aims to gather specialists to discuss common areas in education, training and human resources development.
The event was followed by a tour of the exhibition accompanying the event and the specialized parts regarding the training programs. At the end, the Managing Director of the College thanked the Organizing Committee and all the participants for this distinguished program which is beneficial to all.
Jubail Industrial College started implementing the training programs in 1990, and the total of the implemented programs until now are (656) programs, and there are two types of programs, namely special programs, and short programs and the number of the beneficiaries of the training programs, (18824) trainees and the number of companies that have been contracted since the start of training programs in the college were (325) companies.
