Winter Forum Events were launched in Jubail Industrial City on Saturday (11.03.2017) Morning to train and nominate Saudi teams for International Science Olympiad 2017. The Royal Commission in Jubail shall host this event for the third time in a row in partnership with Mawhiba, (King Abdulaziz & His Companions Foundation For Giftedness and Creativity,) at Learning Resources Auditorium, Jubail Industrial Collage.
Prior to launching the forum events, the acting Director of Education Services Department of RCJ and Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Qweaziny, the general supervisor of Mawhiba Competition General Administration met with the students and trainees on Friday evening where Dr. Al-Qweaziny briefed the participations of Mawhiba Competition Plan for this year and he encouraged them to make effort to reach worldwide competition.
166 students shall be involved in the event from the various regions of the Kingdom, 13 students of them from RCJ with different majors such as Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Science, and also Biology; via 7 training auditoriums at JIC for a period of seven days. The results and the first place winners shall be announced at the end of the forum. Moreover, the results of the outstanding participants in the forum and the nominees for Riyadh Spring Forum shall be announced.
The forum aims to enhance confidence in national capability at worldwide competitions, raise society’s awareness for Math and Science roles, promote science competitive spirit between the education process elements, and building a creative generation capable of raising high the name of KSA in international competition and global gatherings.
The Royal Commission in Jubail’s hosting of the Winter Forum comes in line with its interest to provide all necessary elements to create a stimulating education environment for education and learning, build up creative abilities in future generations and achieve its goals by encouraging the talented and develop their talents. All of this is the result of the directives of the Chairman of the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu, HH Prince Saud bin Abdullah Al Thunayyan and the follow up of the Chief Executive Officer of the Royal Commission in Jubail, Dr. Mosleh bin Hamed Al Otaibi.
