A workshop to Discuss Establishment of National College for Science and Technology in Jubail Industrial City
Under the patronage of HE Director General of Royal Commission in Jubail Eng. Jassim A. Al-Hejji, Jubail Industrial College has organized in cooperation with Dr.Zuhair Al-Subei, chairman of Al-Subei Group a workshop about operating industries requirements of manpower and establishment of a college for science and technology, attendees included representatives from Sabic, Saudi Aramco, SASRIF, Saudi chevron, The General Organization for Technical Education and Vocational Training, Saline Water Conversion Corporation and Al-Zamil Company.
The workshop has started with HE Director General of the Royal Commission in Jubail speech in which he welcomed everyone, pointing out the importance of training and education for the Royal Commission as a priority and emphasizing that the establishment of Jubail Industrial College, Jubail Technical Institute and the University College reflect the great care given to our young people by our good leadership as well as from His Highness Chairman of the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu, prince Saud Bin Abdulah Bin Al-Thunayyan who always draws attention to Saudi youth training. After that, An Audio/Video communication has been made with American Arizona university by satellite where they discussed the possibility of establishing a college under the name
Al-Falah college for Science and Technology in Jubail Industrial City. Then the chairman of Al-Subei Group, who supervises the establishment of national college Dr.Zuhair A. Al-Subei delivered a speech in which he explained the objectives of the new college and thanked the Royal Commission for giving the opportunity to hold this workshop. Next, Managing Director of Jubail Industrial College gave a presentation on the number of students, the college capacity and the city's need for more educational channels to attract more Saudis and meet market requirements. The possibility of setting up the college has been discussed and it has been agreed to form a team work to complete the project study.
