US Consul in Dhahran Visits Royal Commission in Jubail
In his office, HE Eng. Jassim A. Al-Hejji, Director General of the Royal Commission in Jubail, has received the US Consul in Dhahran, Mr. Joseph Kenny and his accompanying staff in the presence of a number of the Royal Commission and Saudi Arabian Bechtel Company officials.
During the meeting, HE Eng. Al-Hejji gave a briefing on the construction of Jubail Industrial City and the utilization of natural gas in the industry, pointing out to the enormous expansion in both industrial and residential sectors in Jubail Industrial City. He also explained the Royal Commission's role in training and qualifying Saudi youth to contribute in the industries, whether inside or outside Jubail Industrial City, through enrollment in Jubail Industrial College, Jubail University College, or Jubail Technical Institute, signifying the overall development in all other areas such as housing, commercial, recreational, and educational services.
On the other hand, Mr. Kenny and accompanying delegation were briefed on the urban and industrial development in the City through a tour of the Royal Commission Exhibition's various stands at the Visitors Center and a field visit to the community and industrial areas.
At the conclusion of the visit, Mr. Kenny expressed his delight of what he had seen in the City and stressed that the giant plants and outstanding infrastructure represented a fertile environment for successful investing. He further said that the visit aimed at getting familiarized with Jubail Industrial City and the role played by the Royal Commission in Jubail in addition to strengthening aspects of cooperation between the two sides in a way that translates the good ties between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the USA.
