The 7th youth Hope Forum is inaugurated in Jubail Industrial City
Al-Sudais: Da'awah events protects and immune the youth
AL-Otaishan: substantial efforts have been exerted to fight drug addiction in Jubail.
In the presence of sheikh AbduRahman Al-Sudais, Imam and speaker of the Holy Mosque in Makkah, Jubail governor Mr. AbdulMohsen Bin Mohammed Al-Otaishan inaugurated last Sunday evening the 7th youth Hope forum under the motto No Addiction with Faith. The activities of the forum are held at Deffi Park in Jubail Industrial City.
In his speech, Sheikh Al-Sudais stressed that such events and gatherings protect, fortify and immune our youth against dangers such as drug addiction. Meanwhile he praised the efforts exerted by the sponsors and supporters of such forum affirming that his presence is a religions duty asking Allah to protect Muslim Youths. On the other hand, Mr. Al-Otaishan, Governor of Jubail highlighted the efforts exerted by Jubail Drug Control Department in tracking down drug traffickers and smugglers confirming that Drug Control Department efforts are undeniably positive in fighting this serious disease. He also stated that it is the responsibility of everyone to co-operate to fight drugs, expressing his gratitude to the Saudi government for its efforts to fight anyone who tries to tamper with the safety and security of the nation. Moreover, he stressed the importance of the role played by mass-media by underlining drugs addiction and its adverse effects on people and society.
The inauguration ceremony, which started by reciting verses from the Holy Quran, included a welcome speech by Drugs Control Department and a poem written by Mr. Zafer AL-Qarni. Meanwhile the audience watched a live show on snakes and their various kinds. After that sheikh Abdul Rahman AL-Sudais and HE Governor of Jubail, honored the sponsors of the Youth forum including Royal Commission in Jubail, SABIC and SASREF. The inauguration ceremony was concluded by an evening youth gathering with Da'ayah (caller) Sultan Al-Doghaylibi (Abu Zuqam). The forum was attended by a good number of audience who filled the tent allocated for the inauguration to the extent that a lot of them followed the ceremony via external screens.
It is worth mentioning that the activities of this forum will last until next Friday and include a number of cultural and educational programs on drugs and their harms to people and society with the participation of a number of religious callers (Dua'at), sheikhs and media and sports figures. The program includes various activities including religious lectures with the participation of a number of chanters besides holding some poetic evenings by a number of poets.
Sheikh Abdul Rahman Al-Sudais has formerly paid a visit to HE Eng. Mohammed Abdul Aziz AL-Juwaiser Director General of the Royal Commission in Jubail in his house after the minor surgery he has undergone lately. Engineer Al-Juwaiser has highlighted the visit paid by sheikh AL-Sudais which indicates the strong ties & cohesion in our society. Meanwhile Eng. AL-Juwaiser asked sheikh AL-Sudais to pay more visits to Jubail Industrial City. He accepted the invitation and promised to visit the city whenever possible.
