'Ramadan Aman-7' Campaign which is organized by Jubail Volunteer Club of Royal Commission in Jubail in collaboration and coordination with Public Security “Traffic”, Industrial Security & Safety in Royal Commission and Association of Volunteer Work, member of the International Association for Volunteer Effort (Khir al-Umh Association). was launched in Jubail Industrial City at the beginning of Ramadan this year and until the 20th of the month
The campaign aimed to participate in the minimizing road accidents and to ensure drivers’ adherence to safety and traffic directions by buckling their seatbelts, placing children at the backseat, and reducing their speed as they try to catch up for Iftar meal at the last hour of the day in Ramadan.
Naser Al-Shehri, leader of Jubail Volunteer Club, said that the objective of the campaign is to deliver awareness messages through educational brochures.
He pointed out that participation in this campaign is open for all male, female and children volunteers in Jubail Industrial City. Many voluntary groups are participating in the campaign, i.e Darrajgroup, Nbd Voluntary Team, Watan Mtahd, and Al-Hilal Club for Social Responsibility in Jubail.
The campaign was launched at over 19 cities in the Kingdom and it is a global initiative organized in seven (7) countries this year; Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman, Jordan and Bosnia & Herzegovina.
Jubail Volunteer Club is supervised by the Social Services Department Royal Commission in Jubail, with the objective to establish a volunteer club that spread the culture of voluntary work in Jubail industrial city and to direct the volunteers’ energy, at the individual and institutional level for to the comprehensive development to serve the community.
