The 4th Saudi Downstream Forum organizing committee, which will be held in Jubail Industrial City from 8-10 March 2016 (28/5/1437H – 1/6/1437H) under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques HM the King, has announced the participation of a number of local figures who represent major governmental and industrial agencies including, but not limited to, the Chief Executive Officer of Saudi Aramco, Mr. Ameen Hasan Al Nasser, the Acting Chief Executive Officer of SABIC, Mr. Yosef Abdullah Al Bunayyan, the Acting Deputy for Industrial Affairs at the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, Engineer Saleh Shabbab Al Sulami, the General Manager of the Saudi Industrial Development Fund, Mr. Abdulkarim Ibrahim Al Nafea, the President of the National Industrial Clusters Development Program, Engineer Khaled Al Salem, Saudi Exports Development Authority, and the Saudi Industrial Property Authority (MODON).
The organizing committee also announced the participation of a number of exhibitors consisting from local and international companies specialized in the industrial and services sector and supply and procurement chain sectors to showcase their products and services in the field of downstream industries at the exhibition that will accompany the forum activities.
The General Manager of Strategic Planning and Investment Development at the Royal Commission in Jubail, Engineer Abdulaziz Noureddin Atarji, said that preparations for the forthcoming forum are proceeding as planned by the competent teams of the Royal Commission in Jubail. He also pointed out that there were many requests received for participation in the forum from different sectors which reflects the importance of the downstream industries in the Kingdom.
He revealed that this conference would focus through work papers and discussion sessions, on a number of issues such as the strategic trend amid the unstable international economic conditions and the role of governmental and private sectors towards the sustainability and development of downstream industries and their role in enhancing the gross domestic product of the Saudi economy. The forum will review the related industrial integration initiatives in the Royal Commission Cities and their role in reinforcing the downstream industries development in the Kingdom.
It will also focus on the research and development centers role in sustainability, innovation and review of investment opportunities available for the downstream industries, and review of modern technologies for innovative products. The forum will hold a specialized workshop highlighting the German Experiment in construction, optimization and development of industrial clusters and their leading role in the growth and sustainability of downstream industries.
