Acting CEO of Royal Commission in Jubail Eng. Adnan A. Al-Alouni, launched the E-Learning Center in Jubail Industrial College, yesterday morning. The Center comes in line with the objectives of the RCJY’s National Transformation Program to develop the educational outcomes, provide qualified national cadres, and provide the citizens with the necessary knowledge and skills to meet the needs of the future labor market. Eng. Adnan A. Al-Alouni toured the Center and watched a visual presentation of the Center's goals, vision and mission.
Dr. Ali Assiri, General Manager of Colleges & Institutes Sector, said” the Center establishment comes in line with the Kingdom’s aim to establish a National Center of E-Learning to achieve the goals of the RCJY’s National Transformation Program through enhancing the educational outcomes and preparing qualified national employees.
Dr. Assiri added that the Center is interested in supporting the teaching and learning process, facilitating communication, cooperation and participation between the faculty members and the students by introducing them to the latest learning methods using technology. The Center also supports the mission and the concept of e-learning and integrated education by providing a flexible and distinctive educational model to all members of the community.
Assiri pointed out that the Center shall enter in partnerships with many of the world's leading universities in this field to improve the national and international e-learning programs and to promote innovation and leadership. The Center targets all the employees in the colleges and institutes sector and the different departments of the Royal Commission and all community members.
The e-Learning Center aims to move towards digital education to encourage students and teachers progress, and use of education, information and communication technologies to improve the adequacy of the educational and training process of all types.
Moreover, to support the teaching and learning process, facilitate communication, collaboration and participation between faculty members and students, and introduce faculty members to the latest learning means using technology. Support the mission and the concept of e-learning and integrated education by providing a flexible and distinctive educational model. Support self-learning skills for all community members, adherence to the quality controls of the national and international e-learning programs, support creativity and leadership and help in finding the appropriate environment, as well as partnership with leading international universities.
