Royal Commission Participates in World Civil Defense Day In Dhahran City
 
RCJ participated in the exhibition organized by General Directorate of Civil Defense in the Eastern Province to observe World Civil Defense Day - under the title “ Together with Civil Defense against Disasters.” Which was opened by H.R.H. Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdullaziz, Governor of Eastern Province at Dhahran exhibitions in attendance of Director of Civil Defense in the Eastern Province, the Brigadier Mohammed Y. AL-Zahrani and a number of officials in various sectors. The exhibition hosted 50 corners for many governmental and non-governmental authorities and military sectors.
 
RCJ was represented by Safety and Fire Protection Section by establishing a wide pavilion, including awareness leaflets,  models and firefighting tools. The pavilion witnessed a large presence of visitors who were briefed on safety and services provided by Industrial Security and Safety Dept. of RCJ for the safety of JIC residents.
 
Eng. Thamer H. AL-Khaldi, On behalf of the Director of Industrial Security and Safety Dept. of RCJ, explained that the participation of Safety and Fire Protection Section of RCJ was to educate the people about the services provided by RCJ.
 
 “ the focus was on education and awareness matters that concerns the citizen’ safety and residents. For instance,  the importance of fire extinguisher in facilities, houses, and vehicles as well as, the negative impact for installing anti-theft mesh which hinder Civil Defense staff, the gatherings during accidents, especially during chemical tankers accidents. Furthermore, visitors were educated about the proper instructions to install and use home appliances.” He added.
 
The exhibition displayed Civil Defense mechanisms, active workshops for the awareness of safety requirements and the accidents and risks prevention procedures related to the Civil Defense works in economic and service facilities.
