Royal Commission in Jubail Approves the Requirements of Home Delivery Service Manual
 
​The Royal Commission in Jubail recently approved  the Requirements of Home Delivery Service Manual in Jubail Industrial city. This manual is based on the Executive Regulations issued by the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs, which aims at food safety during the provision of the food delivery service to consumers.
 
These requirements included standards dedicated for the types of food facilities and requirements for the containers and vehicles used for transportation. The Royal Commission ensured that facilities providing the delivery service are equipped for  preparing and packaging meals at dedicated places within the facility using licensed materials, and that the vehicles used for the delivery are dedicated for this purpose only. The standards also included food transportation containers which are nowadays designed as per sophisticated specifications that ensure maintaining an appropriate temperature for the food during the delivery process.
 
All the restaurants in Jubail Industrial city complied with the requirements and started applying the process which was inaugurated at the beginning of the year 2018, as many restaurants provided the required vehicles, furnished them and obtained approvals thereof from the Property Department which is the competent authority for approval. A special permit which is placed on  the front windshield of the vehicles compatible with the requirements was prepared. In addition to the external markings which specify the permit name and the vehicle number.
 
It is worth mentioning that the application process will be phased in consideration for investors. New vehicles compliant with the requirements will replace old ones. This process shall be completed during this Gregorian year.
