on Monday 31/10/2016 at the Visitors Center Building of RC in Jubail, RC approved five industrial projects with a total cost of around SR (476) millions.
Eng. Abdulaziz N. Atarji, General Manager of Strategic Planning and Investment Development, on Behalf of the RC in Jubail signed the agreements for the following five projects:
International Company for Chemical Industries Project for constructing and operating a plant to produce Imidazole, Silicon and special chemical materials that are used as additives and ameliorate for many industrial products.
Saudi IPlast Company project to establish a project for producing pallets and plastic containers.
Raffd Plastic Factory project to establish a factory for coloring & granulating industrial plastic and their recycling.
Al-Jubail Sanitary Pipe Factory project to establish and operate a factory to produce Polypropylene and HDPE and LDPE Polyethylene pipes.
Abdullah A. AL-Brrak Factory for Industrial Gases project to produce industrial gases such as Ammonia gas, Helium, cooling gas (Freon) and carbon dioxide.
The total cost of these project approximately SR. (476) millions over an area of around (89,235 m2).
On this occasion, Khalil Ibn Salamah, representative of International Company for Chemical Industries stated that the projects constructed in Jubail Industrial City have succeed because of the infrastructure provided by RC in Jubail. Also, he mentioned that RC in Jubail with his company signed a contract to establish 3 projects, one of which will start at the first quarter of next year, and it is to manufacture a product for gas treatment; where, ARAMCO is using the product to extract gasoline and by the project shall be a success since the feedstock and the customers are both in Jubail Industrial City.
Mr. Bargas Al-Nasser, representative of Al-Barrak Company who signed a contract with RC in Jubail to establish a factory to produce cooling gases and ammonia, said that the company objective is to enter into the food, medical, and agro-industries. The percentage of Saudization in the project shall reach 70% by the second year of operations.
The first of its kind, especially in Jubail City, said by Eng. Bader Al-Rashidy, representative of Rffd Al-Laddain for plastic as it will produce plastic materials used to manufacture rubber and petrochemical materials. The importance of this project is to provide these materials to costumers locally. Finally, the project objective is to increase the percentage of Saudi Employment to 80%.
Mr. Mohammad Al-Khater, representative of Al-Jubail Sanitary Pipe Factory added that the project is a partnership with an Italian company and this will serve the country’s infrastructure and sanitation projects. The raw materials are purchased from SABIC and domestic companies.
On his part, Eng. Mohammad Al-Zahrani, Director of Industrial Investment Development Dept. of RC in Jubail said that many projects have been signed on Monday to meet up with the National transformation in the field of downstream industries. All these projects are producing additives which used in extraction of petroleum processes and natural-gas processing. Yet, one of these projects is producing additives used by MAADEN, Saudi Arabian Manning Company, in Ras AL-Khair Industrial City. He also revealed that the Royal Commission in Jubail Industrial City attracted these projects to work with as a result of RC for Jubail and Yanbu’s effort. In the future, Royal Commission in Jubail shall announce entrance of new companies to produce materials that are manufactured for the first time in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
