Saudi Craftsmen Met in Jubail Industrial City
 
The Crafts and Handicrafts Forum was held  lately, at the Cultural Center in Al-Fanateer and lasted for eight days. The Forum included a lot of activities and corners within the crafts market in which the most prominent and finest handicrafts from different regions of the kingdom were under the same roof. It also included (Wed) ceramic corner in which a group of Saudi girls, who make ceramic works professionally, had participated by offering a unique collection of ceramics, artworks and handicrafts. The corner of the young artisans “The Child World” where children learn about handicrafts and how to make them under the supervision of elite craftsmen. In addition to the puzzle world which provides a world without boundaries inspired by challenges and problem solving. And the handicrafts arts corner where a number of elite Saudi designers and artists participated by showcasing their sculptures, drawings, Arabic calligraphy and digital art to the visitors through the Forum's workers. There was also a corner titled “garages that have changed the world”.
 
The forum aimed to contribute to the national efforts for achieving sustainable development in crafts and handcrafts  sector,   and to support and encourage individuals and entities working in this field besides transferring their experience and skills to younger generations, in addition to raising society’s awareness of the cultural, historical and economic importance of the crafts sector.
 
The Forum was open to visitors from 5:30 pm to 11 pm .It is worth mentioning that the Crafts and Handicrafts Forum is the last event on the RCJ’s  Events calendar for this year, as it has earlier held the Sports for All Festival, Jubail Cultural Festival, Nations' Heritage Festival and the Ramadan Benevolent Nights .
