The Royal Commission Honors its Festivals’ Committees
Under the auspices of the Royal Commission Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Musleh Hamed Al Otaibi, The Royal Commission Honored the committees operating its festivals for the year 1436H at Jalmudah Sports Center the day before yesterday, Tuesday.
During the ceremony, Mr. Khaled Athal Al Shammari, Director of Social Services Department, said in his speech that the Royal Commission had organized five festivals that contributed in achieving and promoting social unity and cohesion in Jubail Industrial City, represented by the Heritage and Crafts Festival, Productive Families Festival, Marine Sports Festivals, Nations’ Festival and Palm and Date Festival. He added that such festivals were a recreational outlet to different community groups and to our lovely city’s visitors, in addition to enhancing the spirit of coexistence between workers of different nationalities in our city and to learn about their cultures.
Al Shammari emphasized that as per the festivals’ daily statistics, the total visitors number reached more than (600) thousand. He said this success would not have been possible without the guidance of Allah first, then the support received from all the Royal Commission Departments that worked relentlessly to realize the festivals plan.
After that, a documentary movie about the festivals organized by the Social Services Department was run, narrating in detail the festivals activities and events followed by a brief summary of festivals planned for the current year.
At the end, the CEO of RCJ honored the committees that organized and coordinated the festivals represented by departments’ directors, sections managers, employees and a number of volunteers. Then, the Director of Social Services Department presented a memorial shield to the CEO.
