The Royal Commission in Jubail’s Energy Management Program achieved a 17% reduction in the expected percentage of Jubail Industrial Cities energy consumption.

His Highness Prince Saud bin Abdullah bin Thunayyan Al Saud – Chairman of the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu has reviewed the program results in Jubail Industrial City on Sunday 24-4-1438 H , 22-1-2017 in which the estimated savings are approximately 18 million riyals equivalent to 117 thousand fuel barrels according to international statistics. This  will reduce the emission of  carbon dioxide by more than 34 million kg.

This reduction in the total of the expected power  consumption in the city  comes as a result of the expansion of facilities in addition to increased demand and consumption at various facilities such as schools, colleges, mosques, roads and squares lighting which was one of the most important motives for the establishment of a power management and conservation program that ensures increased efficiency, sustainability and consumption rationing.

His Highness praised the power management team's efforts which achieved the target results of 2016 and the follow-up of the CEO  of the Royal Commission in Jubail Dr. Mosleh Hamed Alotaibi and the General Manager of Operation and Maintenance Sector engineer Sultan bin Alhumaidi Alkhuraisi which contributed in this achievement.
