The Royal Commission in Jubail’s Schools Rationalize Energy Consumption by 34%
 

The Royal Commission in Jubail honored outstanding schools in the consumption rationalization and cleanliness program. The ceremony was attended by the General Manager of Support Services, Mr. Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al-Misnad , the General Manager of Operation and Maintenance Eng. Sultan Al khereisi and a number of officials from Education Services Dept. and Operation and Maintenance sector.
 
Mr. Said Al-Hajri, the director of Education Services  Dept. of the RC in Jubail said that thanks to the exerted efforts and the cooperation with the departments concerned, the schools achieved a consumption rationalization by 34% of the expected consumption for the year 2016 and 26% of the actual consumption for the 2015.
 
He also  pointed out that the schools of the Royal commission in Jubail, since inception, are keen to promote the positive values and practices in their students. He added that since the launch of the Royal Commission in Jubail’s Energy  and Cleanliness Management Programs ,the Education Services Department  tried via  its educational projects in schools e.g. (Madrasati Masolyati( my school is  my responsibility) – Anta Kathea ( you are right )  -Jazeb ( attractive ) and through the activities plans in schools to include many initiatives and procedures to enhance the behavior of rationalization and cleanliness among students to become a habit in their lives.
 
He also said that the schools held more than 100 events during  the 2016 and these events came in two lines including initiatives such as ( Rushada Program – Nqati Program  – Ana wa’ai Program (I am conscious) and Ana Raqi Program (I ‘m high-class) - Artistic and cultural competitions).
 
He also said that the schools of the Royal Commission in Jubail held rationalization and cleanliness contests between classes, exhibitions and specialized camps to spread awareness via flyers, paintings, letters and social media platforms. This is besides the formation of student committees for   rationalization and restructuring schools evening programs campaign. Meanwhile, the activities were collected in a few places and  there was  coordination with the department concerned to modify times of turning on A/C units and adjust temperature in school buildings.
 
The second line of the activities included a number of procedures , foremost of which  are the regular Practices  to be carried out by all school staff to  follow up turning on / off   the lights  and electrical devices, opening and closing windows ,doors, in the school building during and after the school day.
 
Moreover, the Education Services Department  is keen to involve girls' schools and kindergartens in such procedures and activate programs and initiatives that achieve the desired goals.
 
The Director of Building Department, Eng. Badr Al Nkhali  pointed out in his speech the aim of the rationalization campaign , its various stages and the exerted efforts by the competent authorities of  Royal Commission in Jubail. This is besides the great cooperation to achieve the desired goal of the campaign and extended his thanks  to all those responsible for the campaign .
At the end of the ceremony, certificates and awards were distributed over the winning schools  where five winners were selected from  both boys’ and ’ girls' schools in Jubail Industrial City.
