Environment delegation from Sharjah, UAE was recently received at the Royal Commission for Jubail premises and briefed them on the experiences with regards to environmental protection and waste disposal that Royal Commission has been continuously adopting.
Present also during the meeting were officials and consultants of Royal Commission from Department of Environment and Protection and Department of Sanitation who provided the delegation a detailed presentation on the Royal Commission’s efforts in environment preservation and proper waste segregation and disposal with aim of developing a mechanism to bring to an end public and community waste and adopt recycling scheme instead.
After the meeting, the visiting delegation were able to see the workflow and extent of regulation in waste reception and careful disposal that has been carefully monitored and handled by Royal Commission then went to Environmental Development Company (EDCO), to see proper industrial waste disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous materials.
The delegation then toured at the Visitor Center where they were briefed about the establishment of Royal Commission and laid future plans for the city.
At the conclusion of the visit, the UAE delegation expressed their appreciation for the warm reception and hospitality and conveyed their admiration for the continuing programs and activities making the Royal Commission the model in industrial city management.
