Royal Commission declares Jubail Industrial City and Jubail Town are free of Environmental Pollutants
​Environmental Protection Department of the Royal Commission for Jubail announced the absence of any concentrations of environmental pollutants in Jubail Industrial City and Jubail town as a result of the fire which broke out on Saturday in Environment Development Company (EDCO), the waste treatment plant in Jubail 2 industrial area.
 
Department of Environmental Protection after the incident immediately formed an emergency team to manage, protect and monitor air quality in Jubail Industrial City and Jubail town.
 
The team took several actions to accomplish its mission, including recorded readings of the ambient air quality at the scene and community areas in the two cities using precise devices. 
 
It is noteworthy to note that Royal Commission's Environmental Protection Department has  participated with other entities in extinguishing the fire which broke out in the tank at EDCO in Jubail Industrial City.
