On behalf of His Royal Highness, Prince Mohammed bin Fahad bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Eastern Province, opened up on Saturday the Prince Mohammed Mosque under the auspices of the Governor of Jubail, Prof. Abdul Mohsin bin Mohammad Al-Otaishan with the presence of Dr. Mosleh H. Al-Otaibi, Chief Executive Officer of the Royal Commission in Jubail, Sheikh Abdullah Al-Luhaidan, Branch Manager of the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Endowments, Call and Guidance of Eastern Province, Court President Sheikh Dr. Riad Al-Muhaidib and other officials from various companies in Jubail Industrial City.
Governor Otaishan, during his speech, expressed his gratitude to God Almighty for His guidance for this another landmark in the city and praised Him for continuously leading the country to draw more attention to Muslims and which also made his goal and interest materialized to further serve Islamic religion. He thanked as well HH Prince Mohammed bin Fahad in supporting the construction of mosques and a number of charitable works to help carried out various developments in the city.
The mosque, which is currently the 21st in Jubail Industrial City, has a total area of 2,023 square meters and can accommodate almost 1,800 worshippers and is ranked third in terms of size after Ibn Taymiyya Mosque in the seafront Al-Fanateer and Farouq Mosque in Al-Deffi.
It is worth mentioning that Royal Commission administers under an organized plan for the establishment and opening of mosques in Jubail Industrial City to cover the needs of the residents and its neighborhood.
