Jubail Seasports Club has lately obtained the membership of the Saudi Arabian Maritime Sports Federation and it was accredited as a sea club for all sea sports.
Mr. Ahmad Al-Harkan, Acting General Manager of Public Services, and Mr. Mohammad Al-Arieni, Director of Social Services Department, conferred the Club’s membership upon His Excellency Dr. Musleh H. Al-Otaibi, Chief Executive Officer of the Royal Commission in Jubail, who highly praised such an accomplishment and the efforts made to serve young people and augment sports activities in the City.
On the fringe of the meeting, HE the Chief Executive Officer honored Mr. Rashid Al-Qahthani, Sports Activities Section Manager, for the distinguished work during last year, 1434 H.
Jubail Seasports Club is considered one of the goals of the Public Services Sector for which a special strategy was laid out to trigger all its services by ensuring the necessary maritime equipment.
Furthermore, various teams were formed and took part in domestic contests and through such participation, a partnership was concluded with the Saudi Arabian Maritime Sports Federation where some Royal Commission participants were selected to represent the Saudi Arabian National Team in Gulf, Arab and international events.
One of the most eminent accomplishments achieved by the Club was the hosting of the 14th Gulf Sail Championship and the organization of a number of training camps, domestically and worldwide, which had a positive effect in spreading such sports and rendering the opportunity to benefit from the available potential to greatly contribute to the athletic community.
