IBN AL ATHEER INTERMEDIATE SCHOOL IN YANBU INDUSTRIAL CITY PARTICIPATED IN THE GLOBAL CONVENTION FOR SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH AT NORTH DAKOTA UNIVERSITY OF U.S.A.
​Ibn Al Atheer Intermediate School at Yanbu Industrial City participated in the Global Convention for Scientific Research at North Dakota University, U.S.A. It was the first time participation of Saudi Arabia with twelve (12) teams from different countries around the world covered by CATV in the presence of Dr. Talal Al-Milby and Mr. Khaled Al-Johani for Tennessee Technical University along with the School Faculty and the following students :
Abdulrahman Aljohani, Abduljalil Almarshid, Ziyad Althagafi, Ahmed Alsinani, Basheer Ghassan, Eyad Babtain, Muath Almaleh, Osamah Alobthani, Mohammed Alsabbagh with their parents .
Dr. Talal Almilby was the International Coordinator for the Convention and he praised the team members’ efforts and their ability to compete in such global events despite their age. Students were happy with this type of first experience and they thanked the School Principal and the Education Department at Royal Commission for this opportunity. The Convention President Professor Aceantia from North Dakota University thanked the Saudi Team for their participation which was excellent and shown by their successful scientific experiments, preparation, English communication skills and their answers to the Organizing Committee questions. The Professor invited the team to participate in the next Convention to be held in 2014 and wished them success for their future endeavors .
Finally, this accomplishment proves that we have number of gifted students waiting for similar opportunities to represent the Kingdom. The team members created a website to show all of their activities and scientific experiments in the Convention as an invitation to their colleagues to participate in the future events .
