Public Relations Department of Royal Commission at Yanbu organized a Desert Trip for Saudi Arabian Parsons Ltd. (SAPL) expatriate employees. The trip was aimed to familiarize employees with customs, traditions and historical heritage of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in addition to create harmony and friendship among expatriates from different countries.
The Safari Trip took place in “Darb Al-Hajj” which is part of the first ‘Radwa Desert Festival” 1435H. The group included families from different nationalities and was accompanied by the host Public Relations Department to the festival site. The Group was received with dates and Arabic coffee in a Bedouin Tent according to Saudi Arabian old traditions.
A Safari Trip took off across the desert and between mountains and arrived at “Darb Al-Hajj” which is part of Syria and North Africa pilgrims’ road used more than hundred years ago. The group visited historic buildings and wells which used to be rest and recreation areas for pilgrims.
The festival included many activities such as Heritage Village and Market, Falconry and Hunting Exhibition, Camel Rides, Traditional Folk Presentations, Paragliding Parachute Show etc.
The group enjoyed and loved this experience as they admired antiques and handicrafts in the productive families section which is part of the festival events.
