CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER INAUGURATES PHASE I OF STORM DRAINAGE CHANNEL CLADDING PROJECT AND OTHER PROJECTS
The chief executive officer of Royal commission at Yanbu inaugurated today the first phase of storm drainage channel cladding project along King Khaled street at MYAS in the presence of director generals and directors of relevant departments. The first phase covers 6,6 km. The channel was cladded by reinforced concrete layers with a gross area of 19,800 square meter and a layer of riprap rock on both sides of the channel on a total area of 82,000 square meter with planter boxes. Engineers of the O&M division briefed Dr. Alaa Nassif on the importance of cladding of storm channel as it makes periodic maintenance of cleaning work easier after rains. It was a burden before . Phase one was completed within 22 months according to Eng. M. Shiairiyyah, project manager and section manager of roads planning and studies. Other channels will be cladded on phases. Dr. Nassif has inaugurated then the Mechanical Tree Trimmer to enhance work quality in various locations at MYAS. It saves time, efforts, cost and produce good quality according to Eng. Saleh Al-Zahrani acting director of O&M sector and Eng. Hamza Khoush director of landscaping & Irrigation. Finally, CEO Dr. Alaa Nassif inspected the work progress in rehabilitation project of Saad bin Moaz mosque at Hai Al-Jabria in Yanbu industrial city. The project scope of work includes renewal of the mosque completely from inside and outside using the best and high quality materials in accordance with high standards and unique quality.
